Our primary areas of travel include Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, West Virginia, Indiana, New England, and other established bottle digging regions. How do I know if my bottles are valuable?
Bottle value can depend on age, rarity, color, condition, embossing, shape, manufacturer, region, and collector demand. You do not need to identify everything yourself. Send clear photos, and we will take a look at what you have.
Do you buy single bottles?
Yes. We buy single bottles when the piece is a good fit for the collection. We also purchase small groups, estate holdings, digging finds, and complete antique bottle collections.
Do you travel outside of PA & OH?
Yes. Although we are based in Hermitage, Pennsylvania, we are willing to travel for worthwhile opportunities throughout the eastern United States. Areas of particular interest include New Jersey, New England, Indiana, and other bottle-collecting hotbeds east of the Mississippi. Have something that’s outside of the region on the other side of the country? We’d still love to hear about it and will make the trip if it catches our attention.
Do you make house calls?
Yes. Local house calls may be available throughout Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. Longer-distance visits are considered for larger collections, multiple desirable bottles, estates, or exceptional individual pieces.
Do you buy estate collections?
Yes. We work with collectors, families, estate representatives, executors, and property owners who need help reviewing or selling antique bottle collections. Photos of the full group are the best place to start.
Can I ship bottles to you?
Shipping may be an option for individual bottles or smaller groups once we have reviewed photos and discussed the pieces. Please contact us before packing or shipping anything.
Do you charge for estimates?
No. There is no charge to send photos and have us review whether the bottles may be a fit. An initial review is not a formal written appraisal or insurance valuation.
What kinds of bottles are you looking for?
We are especially interested in historical flasks, bitters, milk bottles, fruit jars, Hutchinson sodas, inks, food and medicine bottles, stoneware, beer bottles, brewery collectibles, unusual colors, rare forms, and embossed regional bottles.
What types of photos should I send?
Start with a clear photo of the entire group. Then include front, back, side, base, lip, embossing, labels, damage, closures, and any boxes or related materials. Natural lighting and an uncluttered background make bottles easier to review.
How quickly will I get a response?
Most inquiries receive a response as soon as Jerri has had time to review the photos properly. Larger collections or groups with many different bottles may require additional pictures or information before a decision can be made.
